Predatory Instincts (Risk of Rain 2)

Not to be confused with the first game's version, Predatory Instincts.

Predatory Instincts is a returning Uncommon item in Risk of Rain 2. Whenever a critical hit is dealt, the item increases attack speed by 10% per hit, up to 3 stacks for a total of 30%. This effect lasts a very short time, but can lead to massively increased attack speeds. Additional predatory instincts grant a further +2 for to max stacks. It also gives a hidden +5% crit chance.

Completing the fittingly named Challenge Rapidfire unlocks this item. Incidentally, this is one of the best items for achieving 200% attack speed.
